What is Advantage II?

Advantage II is a topical antiparasitic treatment specifically designed for dogs or cats. It works by quickly eliminating adult fleas and preventing the development of immature stages (eggs and larvae), effectively breaking the flea life cycle. This product combines two essential active ingredients:

  • imidacloprid, which kills adult fleas within hours
  • pyriproxyfen, a growth regulator that prevents eggs and larvae from developing

This product does not require a prescription but should be used in accordance with veterinary recommendations.

What is Advantage II used for?

Advantage II is used to:

  • eliminate fleas present on your dog or cat, often in as little as 12 hours
  • prevent infestations through continuous action on eggs and larvae
  • reduce the risk of flea allergy dermatitis
  • protect dogs or cats living in urban or rural environments where fleas may be present year-round

Unlike oral treatments, Advantage II acts on the surface of the skin, which can be an advantage for dogs or cats with sensitive digestive systems
